How are tiers du cylindre bets placed in roulette with Bitcoin?
Tiers du cylindre covers the section of the roulette wheel directly opposite the zero arc. Twelve numbers sit in this segment, running across the wheel from 27 through to 33 along the arc that faces the zero pocket from the far side of the wheel. crypto.games/roulette/bitcoin placing tiers cover approximately one third of the numbered wheel, requiring six chips across six split positions.
How does the six-chip placement work?
The six chips are placed as follows, each on a specific split pairing.
- 5-8 split. Covers 5 and 8.
- 10-11 split. Covers 10 and 11.
- 13-16 split. Covers 13 and 16.
- 23-24 split. Covers 23 and 24.
- 27-30 split. Covers 27 and 30.
- 33-36 split. Covers 33 and 36.
All six placements are splits, meaning each pays 17 to 1 when a covered number is spun. No other bet type is used within the standard tiers configuration. Zero is not covered, nor are any of the numbers belonging to the voisins du zero or orphelins sections.
Tiers use only split bets
The twelve numbers in the tiers arc pair naturally into six adjacent groups on the betting grid. Each pair shares a border on the layout, which makes a split the appropriate bet type for every position. No three-number rows and no four-number corners are needed to cover the arc. Six split chips placed at their respective grid positions account for all twelve tier numbers with no overlap and no gaps. When a tier’s number is spun, the chip covering that pair wins at 17 to 1, and the five remaining chips are removed. Net return on the six-chip bet is 17 minus 5 losing chips, producing a gain of 12 units from a six-unit outlay when expressed as a simplified calculation. Actual satoshi values scale proportionally to the chip denomination used.
Tiers relate to voisins and orphelins
- Voisins du zero covers 17 numbers in the zero arc using nine chips across splits, a corner, and a trio.
- Tiers du cylindre covers 12 numbers in the opposite arc using six chips, all splits.
- Orphelins covers the remaining 8 numbers not included in either section using five chips across two bet types.
Together, all three called bets account for 37 numbers, covering the full wheel without duplication. Players who place all three simultaneously hold a chip on every pocket, which guarantees a win on every spin but produces no net profit because one chip wins while the others lose. Tiers alone give the player approximately 32.43 per cent wheel coverage per spin, the same probability as a single column or dozen bet, but with exposure concentrated in the opposite-zero arc rather than distributed across a grid section.
As with any single-zero wheel bet, the house edge on each tier’s chip is 2.70 per cent. Each position carries that edge, based on six chips. The six chips are automatically allocated to their correct split positions using some providers’ racetrack selection. Under the traditional tier structure, no variations are allowed when manual placement is required.
